You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know

Education provides us a window to see things differently.  When you read an educational book, take a seminar or sit in on a Q&A session with other industry professionals there will be ah-ha’s that bubble up.  These ideas move your understanding and your business forward.

I personally keep a journal that I take with me to learning events and keep notes of meaningful ideas that can help me and my business.  Last week I sent two employees from Connecticut to Georgia for 3 days of training to improve our maintenance dispatch and customer service.  Although some of the ideas I was teaching & preaching in house – it is always better to hear ideas over and over and to hear them from different sources.  Plus by being in a class with 53 other professionals they learned what they didn’t know from their peer’s experiences.  My job now is to make sure the team applies what they learned in the next 30-60 days before the ideas and enthusiasm dissipate.

My goal in providing you with the Quick Start Program is to move your understanding of starting a property management business forward.  In so doing I significantly reduce the “you don’t know what you don’t know” slow progress effect.  Best of luck!
