NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg – Life Took Off After Being Fired

I attended an event last night with over 100 entrepreneurs overlooking Central Park where Mayor Mike Bloomberg spoke.  Michael Bloomberg started out living in a middle class family and worked for a trading company in NY’s financial industry.  After several years he was told he was fired.  He turned his insight of the financial industry and hard work into a media business.  He said he’s done pretty well for himself (understatement) gives alot of money to charities and now works as Mayor of NYC for $1 a year.

What I wanted to relay is that success often rises from the ashes of defeat.  If you find yourself at a career crossroads – look at it as an opportunity.
